Narrowing the Achievement Gap
Presented by Jake Douglass
To successfully narrow the achievement gap between K-12 music students in a K-12 band or orchestral class, three conditions music be present. First: the class must have a sufficient budget for all students to participate with comparable quality equipment. Second: world-class supplemental music instruction must be free. Third: the medium with which the instruction is delivered must be ubiquitous. This session will inform educators how to successfully create the three conditions in each of their classrooms.
