Cody Messersmith
Cody Messersmith is a dynamic music educator, consultant, and performer in the state of Pennsylvania. Messersmith is an adaptive and inclusive music consultant for various regional and nationally-accredited organizations. He has extensive experience teaching music to students in public school settings from grades K-12. In addition to teaching music, Messersmith enjoys a prosperous freelance career as a first-call low brass musician in the Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Washington D.C. areas. His areas of research interest include curriculum development, adaptive music education, and music’s impact on communicative disorders. Messersmith holds a Master of Education degree from the Pennsylvania State University with a focus in curriculum and instruction, a graduate certification in educational leadership from the Pennsylvania State University, and a Bachelor of Music degree from Marywood University (Scranton, PA). Cody currently resides in York, PA with his wife, Caitlin and their two dogs, Bella and Bernard.
