Jen Rafferty

Educator, and author Jen Rafferty started her teaching career as a middle school teacher in Central New York for 15 years. As the founder of Empowered Educator, she often provides professional development that focuses on the social/emotional well-being of the adults in schools. She holds a B.M. in Vocal Performance and Music Education (Ithaca College), an M.M. in Music Education (Ithaca College), is a certified emotional intelligence practitioner, and is pursuing her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology (Capella University). Jen has been featured in Authority Magazine, Thrive Global, and is a TedX speaker. She is also the author of the Amazon bestseller, A Place in the Staff: Finding Your Way as a Music Teacher.
