Michelle Vallejo

Michelle Vallejo currently resides in Dallas, Texas. She has spent her entire career teaching general music and modern band. Before moving to Dallas, Michelle taught elementary general music in Northern Virginia. She has spent the last decade teaching in a PreK-8th grade public Montessori school in Dallas Independent School District. Ms. Vallejo has a highly concentrated Orff background. When she moved to Dallas, she was introduced to the modern band method through an organization called Music Will (formerly Little Kids Rock). At her school in Dallas, Michelle teaches PreK-5th grade elementary general music and 6th-8th grade modern band classes. Michelle has a passion for teaching modern band, especially watching her students build independence on the instruments. She loves to include elements of modern band into her general music classes as well, even with students as young as PreK and Kindergarten.
