How to Rock AND Roll: Mobile Teaching with an Orff Approach

Teaching on a cart is never easy, but there are plenty of ways to make it fun and effective. In this workshop we will explore both organizational and pedagogical tricks for the teacher on the go. Lesson ideas will be provided that encourage students to imitate, explore, improvise and create. It is possible to be an Orff-Schulwerk teacher without an instrumentarium!

In this session, participants will:

  • learn how to to adapt to mobile teaching.

  • deepen their knowledge of what it means to be an Orff educator.

  • practice student led instruction, where the teacher becomes the facilitator.
