THURSDAY JUNE 11 | 18:00 MT

Presented by George Hess

Technology is a facet in all music-making today, so it’s no surprise that more and more music teachers are being asked to teach a music tech class. Unfortunately, most music ed programs barely teach you how to use technology let alone teach it. But don’t panic. Even the least technology-savvy among you have most of the skills you need to successfully teach a music tech class. In this session, we’ll look at the various types of software available and the most popular programs for your classes. We'll look at the different types of hardware you'll need, too. You’ll learn the basic terminology and functions. More importantly, we’ll look at the different methods you can use to teach music using technology, all the while learning it yourself. Finally, we’ll look at the many resources available to help you on your way.
