Based on the collaboration between ground breaking music incubator The Music District and musician advocacy non-profit FoCoMA, Artist Development Manager and Berklee Online Songwriting Instructor Kyle James Hauser and Matthew Fritz, Executive Director of FoCoMA and manager of Folk Fest favorite Ben Sollee aim to meet musicians where they are and help them get to where they want to be. Adopting a practical and applicable approach, they will examine key components of a musician’s career and discuss how to maximize each. With the complimentary backgrounds of a signed recording artist and an accomplished manager, Kyle James & Matthew will use real life, current day experience to provide strategies to navigate a sustainable career in the modern music industry. Topics will include: recording and releasing music, booking and promoting tours, song publishing and copyright registration, building your team, collecting useful data, brand development, and more.
