Music for Film and Stage - A Co-Creative Approach

In this session I will share ideas to make the music lessons more interactive, student driven and co-creative, and how we can use music to understand the world around us. This will be based on work I have done for the upper grades at elementary school (age 10-13), based on music for stage and film, including composition activities, story telling through song, acting, singing, dancing, music history, and cross curricular work. I will also be sharing some ideas for younger students, and how to adapt this material.
