Redefining Beginner Orchestra Music for Schools

In this session, you will learn about the way Beginner Orchestra is redefining the school orchestra. Based on years of experience working in the unique setting of international schools, Chris will explore how music teachers are breaking away from the band/strings dichotomy in favour of 'getting everyone in a room together to play'. Chris and his team provide a new way of working with ensembles that require a polytechnical approach to orchestral playing. Gone are the boundaries of tradition, enter a new definition.

• Explore how a school can break open traditional notions of orchestra to provide broader access to music education in schools
