Student-led conferences

Student-led conferences are gaining in popularity, especially as many schools are thinking about student agency, empowerment, and ownership. This session will give you the understanding and tools to begin moving toward this powerful way of involving students in their learning, and involving parents in their students’ learning. Student-led conferences work at any grade level, and they work in general music as well as performance-based music classes. If you aren’t doing student-led conferences yet, this session might convince you to try it out. If you are, you will take away some ideas of how to execute these conferences.
