Fostering positive student-teacher relationships is crucial to building a successful music program at any level. As teachers, we should strive to create an environment where students feel valued and cared about. In this session, attendees will learn how to build a culture of inclusion in the classroom and how to create trust between teachers and students. Attendees will learn specific culture-building strategies they can incorporate in their program from the first day of school to the last. The presenter will also discuss musical and social benefits of creating a positive and trusting classroom culture.
